My Accomplishments

My accomplishments in life:

1. When I was a child I considered getting a bunch of medals as my biggest accomplishment in life. I was so proud when my parents would go up the stage to pin those medals at my breast! We were poor, but come Recognition Day, I would dazzle with numerous golden medals I’ve worked for all through the year.

2. When I became a teenager, I realized those medals don’t matter at all if I couldn’t even finish school. Thus, my greatest achievement was when I was able to maintain my scholarships and graduated Summa Cum Laude in college with a degree in BSA.

3. After I graduated, I also reviewed for the CPA Board Examinations. I wasn’t able to top that exam, but I passed! Hence, my next great achievement.

From childhood up to the time I worked, I knew there was nothing I couldn’t accomplish if I would only strive real hard for it. I knew I could accomplish more, and I should have, until I felt something I’ve never felt before in my life. I’m just not happy anymore.

Thus began a different kind of list, a list I would like to take along with me when I die, a list I could leave behind for then shall others know that I have lived, and I have lived my life to the very full!

My accomplishments in life – part 2:

I was able to fly a kite for the first time
I was able to see fireflies!
I was able to finally talk to my dad whom I feared since I was a child. I was able to kiss him and hug him and tell him how much I loved him. I was able to do these things just a few months before he unexpectedly died.
I was able to have a boyfriend.
I was able to break up with my boyfriend!
I was able to put up a coffee shop
I was able to close down that coffee shop because it did not click!
I was able to write my first screenplay
I was able to win as finalist in a national contest for that screenplay
I was able to write my second screenplay
I was able to lose a contest for that screenplay
I was able to sing infront of a large crowd, not minding whether they’d throw tomatoes at me or not!
I was able to ride aboard a plane for the first time
I was able to ride a motorbike for the first time
I was able to connect with people again, and make them feel how I love them
I was able to inspire a kid who wanted to be an accountant like me!
I was able to touch lives through my writing
I was able to speak in a kindergarden graduation and later on congratulate each little hand wherein lies the future of my beloved nation
I was able to understand little by little how much God really loves me
I was able to see the beautiful person deep within me, waiting to shine and dance and live and fly I was able to open my own website and connect with hundreds of people from all over the world
I was able to accept my flaws, and love myself just the same
I was able to hope again and dream again, trusting that dream would help me touch and inspire more lives than I’ve ever hoped it could.
